Fossil Excavation Kits for Kids

My 7 year old son recently got a fossil excavation kit from his school book order club.  And he has been working on it the past few days and he totally LOVES it.  So much that he was working on it this morning before he went to school.  

My son ordered a Wolly Mammoth Dig Kit, but he also would have enjoyed any type of these dinosaur dig kits shown below.  

I think these make great birthday gifts for boys age 5-9.  Especially for kids who love to do hands on activities.  

What can more cool than digging for prehistoric dinosaurs?
